4 - 6: 30 p.m. Bowen Road Farmers' Market. Nanaimo's food-oriented market connecting the community with the farmers in our region. With a focus on fresh produce, baking and meats.

4 - 6: 30 Take an edible native plant walk with herbalist Stephanie Mills at the Moorecroft Regional Park. Pre-register with the Regional District of Nanaimo by calling 250-248-3252. The cost of the event is $15.

7 p.m. The newly formed Nanaimo Ratepayers Association first public meeting at the Kin Hut in Departure Bay. All residents are welcome to attend, including people renters.

5 - 9 p.m. Help Stomp Hunger at Fibber Magees. This event, a benefit concert, features musicians Alyssa Baker and Nick Begg. Tickets are $10 at the door.
